Our Globe says ''I Am Tired, I Want to Rest''
The Globe has existed for millions of years, but perhaps it has never been as exhausted as it is today. Rapidly increasing consumption, environmental destruction, injustice, and the depletion of natural resources have pushed our planet to the brink of collapse. As the One Day for the World movement, we are listening to this silent cry of the Earth and speaking on its behalf:
"I am tired, I want to rest."
The purpose of this movement is to help the Earth breathe again. By encouraging people to change their habits, consumption patterns, and perspectives for even just one day, we aim to give our planet a chance to pause. Because the Earth does not belong to us alone—it is also the home of wildlife, our children, and future generations.
Through our events, we highlight various global issues and propose solutions. Initiatives such as fair resource sharing, reducing consumption, a silence fast, a ceasefire for wars, zero waste practices, and environmental cleanups aim to both give our planet a moment of rest and help individuals reconnect with nature.
Let’s not forget—when the Earth rests, we rest too. Cleaner air, a fairer life, more love, and greater peace are possible. By shutting down for a day, staying silent, showing kindness to stray animals, and cleaning our surroundings, we can gift the Earth a day of renewal—together.
The Globe is calling out to us:
"Pause the wars, the endless consumption, the divisions, and the pollution—just for one day. I need to rest so I can renew myself and offer you a better world."
And together, we can answer this call.
